On what dates and times do the tours take place?
There is no fixed schedule. The organization of the walks depends on the availability of our guides and the specific needs of those interested. In our opinion, the ideal option is a morning walk during a weekday, but that is not the only possibility.
How long does the tour last and how long is the route?
It depends on individual arrangement. A standard walk usually takes approximately two hours, during which we cover about 5 kilometers (roughly 3.5 miles) in the center of Old Prague.
What clothing do you recommend?
Standard tourist attire that reflects good judgment. We recommend good, comfortable footwear—no high heels. During the hot summer months, we recommend that every participant brings a hat and a bottle of water. Conversely, if it rains, you will need an umbrella or a raincoat.
Where will the tour begin and where will we meet the guide?
We will clarify this information together once the content of the tour has been agreed upon.
Can I request a tour even if I am not one of Jehovah’s Witnesses?
Yes, it is possible, but you must either connect with us through one of our fellow believers or please explain the purpose of your interest. There are both practical and legal reasons for this. By default, our guided walks can be booked exclusively by Jehovah’s Witnesses. If they decide to bring someone along who is not a Witness, we expect them to inform us in advance and vouch for that person.
How is your guiding work funded?
Our standard tour route is designed so that it is not necessary to visit locations with paid admission. If you decide to visit any occasional paid sites during the walk, that is of course possible; in such cases, you cover the admission fees yourself. You have no financial obligations toward us.
Who supervises your activities?
The JW-PragueBibleTour.org project is a private activity and our personal matter. All members of our team are involved as volunteers. Our historical commentary is based on precise research of professional literature. We are supervised by our conscience and our personal accountability to God.
